Ms. Eiker’s practice includes all aspects of divorce, child custody, visitation, and support, as well as complex property division issues and premarital and post-marital agreements. Her years of experience have attuned her to the nuances of these issues. As a mediator, she also applies her acute analytical and persuasive skills to these matters.
Carmen is also trained in Collaborative Family Law, a voluntary process under the Texas Family Code, which allows participants to resolve their family law matters by agreement outside of litigation.
Carmen is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law and Civil Trial Law. A Baylor Law graduate, she has also distinguished herself by being named a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Ms. Eiker was named a Texas Super Lawyer in 2013-2016; Top 100 Texas Super Lawyers, (2014) Top 100 Dallas/Fort Worth Super Lawyers, and Top 50 Women Texas Super Lawyers by Thomson Reuters in 2014, and 2015; and to The Best Lawyers in America© 2016, 2017, in Family Law. In addition to her legal expertise, Carmen’s years of dedication to her family law clients has given her insight, wisdom, and understanding of the real life impact these issues have on families.
Ms. Eiker has been an active member of the bar, previously serving terms on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee and Local Bar Services Committee, Texas Board of Legal Specialization Family Law Committee for Legal Assistants, and as past President of the Midland County Bar Association.
